		<description>Varanasi Train Station, India
Serendipity gives me one last taste of the magic of travel as I reconnect with The Wanderer in the storage room of the Indian Railway Authority. Surrounded by a group of railway officials and police men, I have an emotional re-entry into Varinasi, and after much paperwork, explanation and tea, I finally get to leave with my bike and all of my belongings in tacked. It's moments like these that you know the pieces are fitting together for good reason. So, with a flight booked back to the States, a new set of clothes and my life back, I ride into Varinasi where the town is getting ready to celebrate Mahashivarari, one of the most important festivals in the Hindu faith.

		<description>The Maharishi Ashram
An experiment in grassroots volunteering brings some insecurities and truths to the surface about our urges to do good . I start to realize that giving needs to be a natural inclination, the gifts you have inside eventually start spilling out to the public when you’re a fulfilled, complete person. There’s a danger in doing Good to just feel good, it needs to work the other way around.

		<description>Rishikesh
For me mind expansion can be the strongest through other people. When you meet someone who blows your mind so thouroughly that you don’t really know where it go from there, you’re in a good spot in life. Rishikesh has provided one mind blowing convo after the other, and my breath has been taken away so much lately, I fell like I need to stop and catch my breath.

		<description>Holy Ganga River in Rishikesh
My partner in Crime and I, Jorg Edelmann of Project Tiger and Tiger Peace India started a little garbage clean up project along the holy Ganga river in Rishikesh. The lesson I learned from the experience is that it’s very easy and gratifying to put together some sort of grassroots volunteering effort, and once you get moving, the pieces usually fall into place naturally. When I first had the idea and got the ball moving, basically telling people on the street about it, I got really nervous considering the thought that the project might fail. Then I ran into Jorg Edelmann and the wheels were fast in motion. So, it can be an exhilerating and ego breaking thing to do, I would definitely recommend next time you have an idea for a project in your area, or while traveling, to just start moving on it and it will magically come together.

		<description>The Holy River Ganga, Rishikesh
5am. Singing and yelling on fire by the river bank. Wet shoes, cold skin, the smell of energy, empty and whole. Alone in nature I can feel the energy of life buzzing with the overtones of rushing water and barking dogs.

		<description>Rishikesh, India
After the 20 hour train ride, I land in Rishikesh only to find that my bike and most of my belongings are missing. I had a feeling before the door even opened that something was wrong, but the initial feeling that surprisingly fell over me was relief. Maybe it was a feeling of being able to face even the worst outcomes while traveling after experiencing so much over the year, but the deeper feeling was that of acceptance, that this was meant to happen at this moment, and whatever comes of it will lead me to something good. So, I’m going to accept the wanderer as good as lost in the Indian wild and try to soak in Rishikesh as well as possible and discover what purpose I find her in the new age capital of India.

		<description>Train to Rishikesh
Enough signs to count on one hand are leading me to this Brazilian Guru named Prem Baba who’s ashram and congregation is in Rishikesh, the new age and yoga capital of the world, as they say. I decided to take a train and loaded my bike into the luggage bin because I have a feeling that my time is best served soaking in the hippies vibes that have been leading me to Rishikesh. So far a new age crew from Hawaii, a Chilean yoga instructor and a solo traveler from Amsterdam have all lead me to look for Prem Baba and the Sachadam Ashram when I land in Rishikesh. For now, I wait patiently and comfortable on a 20 hour Indian-style train ride.

		<description>Varanasi, India
From a British sitar player who’s met Ravi Shankar to a wandering Spiritual Guru working on the American Railway System, Varanasi is about it’s characters. There are so many people seeking something, be it spiritual expansion, a new musical sound, the general lost souls or the supposedly found religious devotees. Varanasi is the center of spiritual life in India, with hundred of pilgrims arriving daily to wash away their sins in the holy waters of the river ganga, this place has an energy that just screams life, death, expansion, destruction, confusion, connection; there’s really no way to put a finger on the place, something you truly need to experience for yourself.
